Square Enix Opened Doors to Android Marketplace on Dec 1

squareenix

Hey, Square Enix. How are you doing? I heard that you might be coming to my side of the hood sometime soon. We all know that the Android is a bit of a rough neighbourhood, filled with bottle-blonde copycats and cheap thrills but there are good people living here.

Our old friend Andriasang mentioned that you’re opening shop here. You’re calling it the Square Enix Market (it’s not the most creative name, guys). I hear you’re going to have Dragon Quest Monsters Most Wanted!, Chaos Ring, the iOS remake of Final Fantasy and Crystal Defenders. I’ve even heard rumors that Chrono Trigger and Itadaki Street will be joining your crew.

Andriasang also mentioned that you’ll be letting the KDDI users in first. And then DoCoMo and Softbank. And then, the world?

… seriously, though. Who I have to sacrifice first-born children to in order to get some of that love onto the Kindle Fire? I’m not holding my breath but there’s a special segment in my nightly prayers that encompass the hope that the Square Enix Market will eventually branch into the Amazon App store.

Nonetheless, if it all goes pear-shaped, there’s always rooting..
