How To Speed Up Your Web Browsing Experience on the Kindle Fire

image113

Sorry about the title. Our SEO chap insists on it. Still, lack of drama withstanding, there’s something to be said about a concise delivery.

I know I’m rambling. I’m sorry. It happens when I’m mildly astounded by the world. Like every other Kindle Fire owner out there, I’ve bemoaned the slothfulness of the Kindle Fire Silk Browser. Smooth was the last word I wanted to associate with the device.

But then, something happened. I stumbled across a website. And just like that, my entire world changed. I felt like Rip Van Winkle after he had woken up. I was Humpty Dumpty put together again. It was mind-blowing. And also depressingly obvious once it was shoved in front of my face. If you fancy yourself an intelligent person with an unreasonable device, stop reading. If you’re fully willing to go D’oh, apologize to your Kindle Fire and indulge in a happier and healthier relationship with it, do this:

Go to the browser. Hit the menu button at the bottom of the screen. Disable plug-ins. Uncheck ‘Accelerate Page Loading’. Select ‘Mobile’ for ‘Desktop Or Mobile View’. Profit. That’s it. That’s all it takes.

It’s true. Go try it. Then pretend you knew the truth all along. We won’t tell.
