If you’ve got a Hotmail account and want a more tablet-centric experience grabbing your email from the service, the Kindle Fire has an app that’ll take care of your needs. Microsoft has released a Hotmail application designed to work with the Kindle Fire.
Over on the Windows Team Blog, David Law explains some benefits to using the app over the regular mail app on the Fire. He writes, “Whereas the native Kindle application simply downloads your mail via POP3, with the new Hotmail app you can sync all your mail, contacts, folders, and subfolders via the more robust Exchange Active Sync protocol.” He also adds that this Hotmail app for the Fire is one that is updated to work well with the version of Android that Amazon’s tablet has.
