Amazon has been known as a place to buy and download video games and game apps for Android devices and the Kindle Fire. It’d be pretty astonishing if Amazon branched out into the social gaming scene, and P.J. McNealy, founder of Digital World Research, believes that such is actually going to be the case eventually.
Amazon has put up a number of jobs for game development on their site, including positions for level game designer and digital video game software engineer. With the Kindle Fire being the number two tablet out today, it’s highly possible that they’re going to make a push to be another strong social gaming entity.
Of course, it’s up to Amazon to confirm or deny the speculation, and the Los Angeles Times, in seeking a comment from Amazon regarding McNealy’s analysis, has said nothing regarding their plans.
